Senior Tax Accountant
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time, 20-25 hours per week (flexible working hours considered)
Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire – Hybrid (1 day per week in the office required)
Salary: Up to Circa £65,000 per annum pro rata (DOE)
Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role will oversee the internal and external tax compliance and reporting functions for a large group of companies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the timely submission of Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT returns to HMRC, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and regulations.
- Calculate and ensure accurate tax disclosures within the year-end financial statements, aligning with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with Payroll and HR to address employment tax matters.
- Maintain robust documentation and controls for tax-related matters, complying with Senior Accounting Officer legislation.
- Prepare the group of Companies for the implementation of the BEPS Pillar II framework.
- Develop and manage the direct report to this role.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA, ATT, or CTA qualification with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT.
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret financial data, identifying inconsistencies effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a knack for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including HMRC, colleagues, and external parties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
