IT Support Analyst / Developer

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Location: Poole, Dorset

Hours: Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Job Title: IT Support Analyst Developer

In this multifaceted role, you will play a crucial part in supporting and enhancing critical business systems and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and Developing IT Solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application support issues.
  • Collaborating with the business to identify and implement new solutions to meet evolving needs.
  • Streamlining business processes through automation and integration.
  • Championing the adoption and utilisation of Microsoft 365 technologies across the organisation (SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate).
  • Maintaining and optimising database performance (MS SQL Server).
  • Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Integrating internal and external systems (e.g., carriers, customers, websites).
  • Providing technical support and training to end-users on various systems.
  • Documenting technical processes and procedures for knowledge sharing.
  • Actively participating in IT projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Collaborating with external vendors to resolve third-party application issues.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server, including T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
  • Experience with Business Central, Power BI, PowerShell, C# (or similar), and FileMaker is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with system integration and API integrations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for technology and a continuous drive to learn.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, SQL Server) are a plus.
