Job Description

Financial Data Lead

Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum (DOE)

Location: Hybrid – Southampton, Hampshire

Hours: 37½ hours per week, Monday – Friday

Contract: Full Time, 12 Month FTC

Main Responsibilities:

  • Elevate Data Quality: Lead the review and refinement of financial data requirements to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Architect Data Solutions: Design and implement robust data models, integration processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Drive Insightful Reporting: Develop and maintain impactful financial dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
  • Empower Financial Planning: Conduct in-depth data analysis to support financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Optimise Financial Systems: Implement and manage Anaplan and Power BI solutions to enhance financial planning and reporting capabilities.
  • Champion Best Practices: Design and deliver a framework to keep the FP&A team informed on industry trends and data transformation best practices.
  • Ensure Knowledge Sharing: Document data models, processes, and methodologies for clarity and collaboration.

 

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Proven Expertise: Extensive experience in financial data management, analysis, and reporting.
  • Systems Proficiency: Experience with financial systems implementation and management.
  • Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of data modelling, integration, and governance frameworks.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in Anaplan (desirable), Power BI, and other financial planning and reporting tools.
  • Analytical Acumen: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Industry Insight: Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data transformation and finance.
